Look out, Megan Fox, you’ve got some serious competition. It’s no secret that I love a feminine, girly-pop boudoir session. But spoiler alert: I love me some sensual and sexy boudoir as well! As a California Boudoir Photographer, I’m lucky enough to work with women of all shapes, sizes, and styles. From girly to edgy, I just love loving on my gals. So when Mercy came to me with a killer vision of an edgy grunge boudoir photoshoot I was instantly hooked. Prepare to swoon, babes.

When Mercy first reached out to schedule a boudoir session for her husband’s birthday, she already knew that she wanted to recreate the scene from Transformers with Megan Fox working on the car. Instantly, I knew the scene she was talking about and I started brainstorming. When the day of the session arrived, it was a gloomy day. I am so thankful we rescheduled to a sunnier day; the vision for these photos required dynamic, warm lighting. And while we were grateful for the sunshine on the day of the photoshoot, it was freezing. Mercy handled it like a champ, though. And hey, the cold added a little something-something 😉 (iykyk). 

The first portion of Mercy’s edgy boudoir photoshoot featured 2 “risqué” outfits that are reserved solely for her hubby’s eyes. We found a country road with a pasture of grazing cattle in the background. Let’s just say: the cows got an eye full. But the second portion brought us to the top of the hill to soak up the crisp golden hour. Mercy changed into an iconic Megan Fox-esque outfit; combat boots, denim shorts, and a white crop top. We had Jeff Buckley playing on a speaker and a pack of cigarettes to complete the overall edgy vibe. Mission accomplished. 10/10 would shoot with Mercy everyday for the rest of my life.

Mercy’s edgy grunge boudoir photoshoot couldn’t have been more perfect.
