I’m Sierra Brook,  a Bakersfield, California wedding, family, and destination photographer serving Central California and beyond.

I didn’t always work this way. I once fit neatly into the familiar three tier package model and over time, it began to feel limiting.

As our culture slowly leans back toward the tactile and the analog, I chose to step away from the endless cycle of transactional bookings.

I wanted depth. Soul connection. Relationships that unfold over time.

After years of conversations, dreaming, and quiet planning, I finally allowed myself to shift.

This is Waves of Existence... a relationship with your photographer where you are more than a booking. You are a collaborator, a witness, and a vital part of the story being told.

I believe photographs should live beyond the screen.

They should be held, revisited, lived with the kind of images that quietly become part of a family’s history.

My approach is rooted in intention and restraint. I don’t chase perfection or performance. Instead, I focus on what feels honest the way a moment unfolds naturally, the details that might otherwise go unnoticed, the atmosphere of a season in your life.

The result is imagery that feels lived-in and lasting. Not made for trends or timelines, but created as heirlooms pieces of your story meant to be returned to, shared, and carried forward.
