Summer Engagement Session at Malibu Creek State Park

Malibu Engagement Session

Have I mentioned lately that I work with the most precious humans in the world? Christin and Angelo were no exception. Their summer engagement session at Malibu Creek State Park was such a dream to capture. From the picturesque scenery to wrapping their session up with their pup, I was cheesin’ from ear to ear the entire time.

Christin reached out to me initially to capture her and Angelo’s wedding. One of my incredible associates shot their wedding day (as I was already booked). But let me tell you – editing their wedding photos brought back all the feelings I felt when I had the honor of shooting their engagement session. Christin and Angelo didn’t have many stipulations when it came to their photos – they just wanted a whimsical vibe. We settled on Malibu Creek State Park to give us the most whimsical vibes.

Malibu Creek State Park Engagement Session

Malibu Creek State Park is one of my favorite places to shoot in. Not only am I obsessed with Malibu in general, but this state park doesn’t even feel like you’re in Southern California. Based out of Central California though, I’ll take any excuse I can get to travel – especially if it’s towards the coast 😉 For Christin and Angelo’s session, we spent time frolicking in the tall, dry grass before venturing into a grove of trees. The sunshine in the fields of dry grass made it feel like an early Fall fairytale.

Once we were in the trees, the sun continued to peek through creating the dreamiest golden hour vibes. Christin and Angelo even brought their sweet pup for some photos. Poor little guy got sick from eating an endless buffet of foxtails 😅 Other than that? Christin and Angelo’s summer engagement session at Malibu Creek State Park was a summertime dream.
