Bakersfield, California Western Engagement Session

Western engagement session in Bakersfield, California

When I tell you to buckle up for this one, I mean it. Abby and Med’s Bakersfield, California Western engagement session was straight out of a Wild West film starring John Wayne and Sam Elliott. Before we dive into these spicy photos, let’s rewind to how I first met Abby.

I have known Abby since I was in high school. And ever since I’ve known her… her and Med have been in love. I’m talking that sweet, saucy, all-consuming kinda love. But their love, like many, hasn’t been without trials and tribulations. Now, many years later, Abby and Med are finally getting that fairytale love story they so deserve. To say I’m stoked for them to tie the knot would be an understatement. I’ve had the honor of not only capturing Med proposing to Abby, but I’ve also worked with Abby shooting content for her Western boutique (Buckin Babes Boutique). Working with a couple that has this much love and chemistry for one another makes my job a breeze.

When Abby and I started brainstorming her engagement session, she told me that her vision was vintage Western with a classy vibe. We created a Pinterest board full of all the dreamy, drool-worthy images. We rented out the Buck Owens Crystal Palace which is the epitome of ‘Western’. The outside of this music venue looks like an old Wild West town – talk about perfect. But their session wouldn’t have been complete without a vintage car, smoking cigars, and slinging back whiskey. I can’t even put words to how absolutely incredible this session was. So, as my words fail me, it’s finally time to dive in to Abby and Med’s Bakersfield, California Western engagement session. Yee-haw 😏🤠
