Shanel and Noah’s romantic Adelina Villa wedding in Bakersfield, California was one for the books. I love nothing more than capturing the love of such a beautiful couple in such a beautiful place. From bridal portraits to dancing the night away, I am still swooning over this absolutely perfect day.

I first connected with Shanel on Instagram when she reached out to book engagement photos. From the second we chatted, I couldn’t wait to capture the world’s most photogenic couple. Their engagement session featured warm light and all the spicy moments. Peep a few engagement photos below.

When it came time for their beautiful Bakersfield wedding, Shanel had the idea of taking some bridal portraits at The Adelina Villa. If you know me, you know that The Adelina Villa is my absolute favorite venue in Bakersfield. Instantly, I was on board and couldn’t wait to capture some intimate moments for Shanel and Noah. Not only does Shanel look like an absolute goddess, but somehow, her 2-piece wedding dress matched the vibe of the venue to a T. And Noah looked so dang fly in his tan suit, complete with a custom tie clip engraved with his initials.

The Adelina Villa was restored by the owner (Demi – freaking love her to pieces) to its former glory. And uff, let me tell you: if I only could photograph lovers in one setting, it would be this one! Picture vintage vibes, wrapped in the ultimate blanket of coziness and that is what The Adelina Villa is. Shanel and Noah got ready together at their home before heading to the location for bridal portraits. The warm that engulfed the indoor and outdoor space while we took some photos was life giving. Like I said, Shanel and Noah are a stunning couple; my only issue was trying to not take too many photos. 

Shanel and Noah’s wedding ceremony and reception took place at The Collective. I love that we were able to get 2 vibes with the addition of their bridal portraits. From vintage vibes to a modern event space, Shanel and Noah got the best of both worlds. The outdoor ceremony featured “I do’s” under a geometric arch, adorned with pampas grass. But my favorite part of their wedding day?! The Hooters truck!! Shanel actually used to bartend at Hooters, so it was so sweet to see her girls supporting and celebrating her wedding day! The rest of the evening was spent droppin’ it low, cutting a beautiful cake, and soaking up the first moments as Mr. and Mrs.

I love when couples are able to truly let themselves and their wishes shine on their wedding day. This sweet couple knew exactly what they wanted for their day, and settled for nothing less.
