Imagine me singing “These are a few of my favorite things,” here. This Santa Barbara intimate courthouse wedding included a chill couple, the sweetest family and friends, and ended with churros – need I continue?! Maegan and Bryan definitely had the wedding of their dream. It was truly such an honor to be a part of their beautiful day.

I first connected with Maegan on Instagram last year when I was searching for a couple to model for a styled shoot. As luck would have it, our schedules weren’t meshy, but such is life; I had hoped I would get the chance to work with her and Bryan someday. A little bit of time passed when Maegan reached out to book me for their intimate courthouse wedding; I was STOKED. When she explained the vision of their wedding day to me, I couldn’t stop beaming from ear to ear. Her and Bryan both wanted to have a very low-key, relaxing day surrounded by their closest friends and family. (Mission accomplished!)

Courthouse Wedding

When I arrived in Santa Barbara for their wedding, I spent some time doing some location scouting. I found this really cute, old flower shop that had an ice cream parlor aesthetic to it – perfect for those vintage vibes. Bryan and I met for the first time, minutes before the first look with his soon-to-be wife. One of the sweetest parts of Maegan and Bryan’s wedding day was their first look. Maegan didn’t want much fuss; so much so that she stepped out of an Uber, tears falling, and ran into Bryan’s arms for a big hug. Their first look was completely “them”. After we took some romantics, we headed across the street for them to tie the knot!

At the courthouse, the friends and family of Maegan and Bryan gathered on the steps to witness them say “I do”! After they were officially husband and wife, a little girl walked up to Maegan and handed her a white balloon as a wedding gift; such a pure interaction to witness. As soon as we finished up at the courthouse, it was time to party! We hopped in an Uber and drove to Night Lizard – a local brewery – for some tacos and churros. Seeing all of Maegan and Bryan’s favorite people celebrating them reminded me why I love intimate weddings so dang much! Speeches and the cutting of the cake marked the end of such a sweet wedding.
